Data is its soft spot. The September 17, 2026 privacy policy names AI research and development among its uses, and any proxy chat also passes to that third party.

SpicyChat AI is the closest match to Janitor. It runs a huge library of user-made characters, every bot can do NSFW chat, and it imports character cards in JSON or PNG format.

The free tier is weaker than Janitor's. SpicyChat's docs list 4,096 tokens of context for free users, about half of Janitor's free 8,000 to 9,000, and free chat comes with ads and waiting lines.

Paid plans are where it pulls ahead. True Supporter at $19.95 adds 8,192 tokens and chat images on select bots, and I'm All In at $29.95 adds up to 32,768 tokens, depending on the model, plus text to speech.

Get A Taste at $5.95 removes ads and waiting lines, which undercuts Janitor+ at $12.99. SpicyChat raised its prices on September 8, 2026.

Its rules are stricter than Janitor's on some themes. SpicyChat bans non-consent even in fiction and all family and step-family roleplay, while Janitor bans incest only between blood relatives.

Mobile is where Janitor wins. SpicyChat has no iPhone app after a notice dated August 27, 2025 said Apple had removed it, and Android users install an APK from its site rather than a store app.

2. CrushOn AI

CrushOn AI works much like Janitor, with a public library of user-made bots and an Unfiltered toggle for adult chat. A generous free plan and published memory sizes put it second.

On the free plan, CrushOn offers unlimited free models plus 100 monthly message credits, per its site. It does not give a current free memory size we could confirm.

Paid plans raise memory, but we could not confirm the current size for each tier. Its site does list a 32K context option on one Ultra model, paid for with credits.

Janitor's help center lists no voice feature, while CrushOn's pricing page shows voice messages on every plan.

Images are not its focus. Its pricing page lists no image generator, and its guidelines bar realistic pictures of real people and ask creators to keep character art non-explicit.

Free users share capacity, so replies slow at busy times. Its subscription wiki also says free memory is deleted after 7 days of inactivity.

Data use is the weak point. Its privacy policy, read on October 6, 2026, says chat contents may be used in a general way to train its models, and its FAQ says refunds depend on the platform you paid through.

Its pricing page lists Standard at $5.99 a month with 2,000 credits, which is under half the price of Janitor+. Premium costs $14.99, and the top Imperial tier $199.99.

3. Kalon AI

• Best for: Free NSFW chat with in-chat images, which Janitor does not offer

• Free tier: 50 coins when you join and 50 each day

• Starts at: $119.64 a year, or $19.97 for one month

Kalon AI is built as a companion site, not a public bot library, so the format differs from Janitor. Its own catalog of characters and scenarios sits next to a builder, and chat, pictures and video share one coin balance.

Images are what Janitor users gain. Free accounts get image generation and NSFW chat, per Kalon's home page, with the generator priced at 10 coins a picture.

According to its FAQ, characters can send pictures mid-scene and keep context between chats. Unlike Janitor, it gives no token figure for that memory.

Subscribing unlocks video and audio. Since September 30, 2026, subscribers get Katie with up to 1,000 messages a day shared between Katie and Natasha, per its changelog.

On data, Kalon is stricter than Janitor. Its February 4, 2026 privacy policy rules out training third party or general purpose models on private chats, NSFW content, images or voice.

Its guidelines allow consensual kink and BDSM between adult characters. They forbid youth-coded content, real people, non-consent, intoxication and blackmail, so some Janitor themes will not carry over.

One page undercuts those rules. An Anime School Romance scenario with classmates and an NSFW toggle was still up on October 6, 2026, so Kalon loses points on content rules for inconsistency.

If you use Janitor on your phone, note that we found no official Kalon app in the stores. Its cancellation policy treats payments as final unless the law requires otherwise.

Kalon's home page on October 7, 2026 listed a yearly plan billed once at $119.64, roughly $9.97 per month. Its monthly plan was $19.97 when we checked on October 6.

4. Kindroid

Kindroid swaps a public library for one character you design yourself, called a Kin. That suits Janitor users who spend most of their time with a single bot.

No platform here states its adult rules more plainly. Kindroid's moderation guidelines name erotic roleplay as allowed, and fictional consensual non-consent is not counted as a breach.

Media is where it beats Janitor. Subscribers get selfies, voice messages and voice and video calls, plus a Cascaded Memory layer, though no token size is published.

Free use is the catch. Since free Lite ended on October 1, 2026, newcomers get a single preview of 50 messages, or 15 in some regions, before the account becomes read-only.

You keep native apps, since Kindroid offers official iPhone and Android versions. Selfies are NSFW filtered in those apps only, and refunds are generally refused.

5. DreamGen

DreamGen is an AI roleplay and story generator. Its home page describes chat with AI characters and fan fiction with "no rules, no restrictions", and its pricing page sells access to its own models.

Memory is published, which few rivals do. Its pricing page, checked October 7, 2026, lists a 5,000 token context window on Starter, 15,000 on Advanced and 30,000 on Pro.

Starter's 5,000 tokens is below Janitor's free 9,000, so you need Advanced at $19.35 a month to clearly beat it. Its plan cards also show monthly and daily credits.

Privacy is the standout. Its privacy policy says it does not use your scenarios or roleplay history to train AI models unless you opt in.

Its terms require users to be 18 or over and ban sexual content involving minors, including fictional minors. The terms we read do not spell out theme limits the way Janitor's guidelines do.

The free side is unclear. Its pricing FAQ asks whether DreamGen can be used for free, but we could not read the answer on its own page, so we do not state a free limit.

Its site title lists an image generator beside chat. We did not find a voice feature or an official phone app on its pages. SpicyRanked has not reviewed DreamGen yet.

6. Chub AI

• Best for: Janitor users who like character cards and are happy to pay a flat fee

• Free tier: Docs list free routes via your own API or a local model

Chub AI is the most Janitor-like option after SpicyChat and CrushOn. It is a large public library of character cards, with lorebooks, and its getting started guide says Chub is uncensored.

It is often listed as a bring-your-own-API site, but that is only half the story. Its docs describe Mars, its own uncensored models, at $20 a month with unlimited messaging and "no managing keys or setting up servers".

The same docs say Mars models were not trained on public or private chats from Chub. Its docs list free routes that use your own API key or a locally hosted model, the kind of setup many Janitor users want to avoid.

We found no published context size for Mars, and its docs list no image or voice feature. Its docs warn that free reverse proxies can shut down at any time.

Its score suffers for missing paperwork. Neither its terms nor its privacy policy rendered as readable text on October 6, 2026, and we did not find an official store app. We have not reviewed Chub.

7. Candy AI

• Best for: Buyers who care more about photo replies than roleplay

Candy AI centers on photo replies from companions, so it covers a different need from Janitor's roleplay library. That is why it ranks last here despite a 7.0 review score.

Against Janitor's unlimited standard chats, Candy's free side is tiny. Its help center allows 5 messages across all characters, one custom character and one image in total.

Subscribers get unlimited chat plus 100 tokens each month to spend on photos and voice. Its help center ties memory to each chat but gives no size.

Its help center says Candy has no native phone app. Charges appear as EverAI, and its privacy policy allows anonymized data to train models.

On October 6, 2026, from a US connection, its subscriptions page showed $13.99 monthly, $26.97 a quarter and $47.88 a year, which works out near $3.99 a month.

Also Considered: CHAI and PolyBuzz

CHAI and PolyBuzz come up in most Janitor threads, but neither passed our adult chat screen.

CHAI's safety center says its models are designed to refuse sexually explicit content, even though the app is rated 18+.

PolyBuzz's FAQ says it strictly prohibits public display of NSFW content, and we found no written rule that allows adult roleplay in private chats.
