Every review keeps a clear line between what a platform claims, what we observed and what we could verify from public sources. We read the billing terms and cancellation policy early, because that is where hidden costs usually sit. Our partners are named on our About page, and every review uses the same six scoring categories.

Cam sites, creator platforms (OnlyFans-style), AI companion and chat apps, dating and hookup apps, and niche marketplaces (feet pics, used items, fetish communities). We add new categories when a vertical grows large enough to need honest comparison reviews.

Some platforms we use ourselves on free or paid accounts. Others we review through research from primary sources, such as pricing pages, terms, privacy policies and app store listings. Where a review is based on our own use, the review says so. We don't use a fixed testing period.

Content Quality (20%) is what the platform actually delivers. Value for Money (20%) is what you get for what you pay. Privacy & Safety (20%) covers age verification, data handling, and breach history. User Interface (15%) is how easy the platform is to use. Features (15%) covers tools beyond the core function. Mobile Experience (10%) scores the mobile web or app on its own.

The reviewer scores the platform 1 to 10 in each of the six categories. We then apply the fixed weights and produce a weighted average, shown as a decimal out of 10 at the top of every review. The number is calculated from the formula — never negotiated, never adjusted after the fact.

Review sites use different methods. Our score comes from six weighted categories, and each review keeps a clear line between what a platform claims, what we observed and what we could verify from public sources. That can produce a different number from a site that ranks another way.

We update a review when a platform changes its prices, features or policies, or after a security incident. There is no fixed schedule. The Last Updated date at the top of every review reflects the most recent substantive edit.

No. The score comes from the six-category formula, and the editorial team has no view into commission rates while writing or editing. A platform that pays us nothing and one that pays premium rates are judged identically. If a platform asks us to soften criticism in exchange for a better affiliate rate, the answer is no.

SpicyRanked is free to read. Some platforms pay us a commission when you sign up through our links, and some are paying clients. They are named on our About page, and every page that reviews or recommends one of them shows a disclosure near the top.

Some are. Every affiliate link uses rel="nofollow sponsored" attributes per FTC guidance. Posts with affiliate links carry a disclosure in the first 200 words or via the site-wide notice in the footer. You can identify an affiliate link before you click it.

If a platform ever gives us a demo or free press account, we will say so in that review. Some platforms we use ourselves on free or paid accounts, and others we review through research from primary sources.

Yes. Platforms that have asked us to remove or soften criticism in exchange for affiliate access have been declined. Platforms with a documented record of violating user privacy or payment integrity do not join our affiliate roster regardless of the commission rate.

Safety varies. We score Privacy & Safety as one of three 20%-weighted categories and call out specific risks — known data breaches, weak ID verification, offshore payment processors with poor chargeback handling. A documented breach in the past 24 months costs at least 2 points and is disclosed in the review.

It depends on the platform. Most reputable platforms hide your email, full name, and payment details from creators by default — but the data they collect, retain, and share varies a lot. We use standard, anonymised analytics to understand which reviews and guides are useful. We do not sell personal data and we do not run ad-network tracking pixels. The full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy.

Yes. Every outbound link goes to the platform's own domain — we do not route through redirect shorteners that could be hijacked. Affiliate links are tagged with rel="nofollow sponsored" and add a tracking parameter for attribution; that is the only modification.
